Margherita Moscardini, 1XUNKNOWN

Room 16

In Giovanni Testori’s studio, Margherita Moscardini presented a series of volumes conceived as kits containing prints, drawings and short videos of monoliths filmed with a fixed camera. The project stems from the search for habitable solid forms whose permanent nature would express forms of belonging to the context. The artist considered his research into the anthropization of the landscape to be akin to Testori’s view of places, as demonstrated by the titles of his writings. Each of the bunkers in Moscardini’s work is engraved with a person’s name (Bruno, Carola, Barbara, etc.), with a personification that identifies them without separating them from the environment to which they belong.

Margherita Moscardini was born in Piombino in 1981.
